Opening Letter from Tony Sibley, Founder

Hello and welcome to the Christian Photographers Network (C.P.N.). The Christian Photographers Network was founded by Tony Sibley in June of 2002. The need for such an organization manifested itself due to an overwhelming demand for above average photographers, at an affordable price. Not only is this good business sense, but it also fills a growing demand for good but affordable service, given today’s economical status. I believe that high-end service can be distributed to mass consumers, without loss of revenue to the photographer. I am able to achieve this by mass marketing, discounts on film processing and purchases, and wholesale purchases of supplies and equipment. A key factor in my success as a small businessman in this particular profession is loyalty and service. Building partnerships with your vendors should turn into a relationship with a friend. Volume discounts and purchasing has proven to be my biggest advantage to producing a consistent profit and margin. These savings are then passed on to the customer, who becomes in turn your largest free advertiser. I believe applying this simple method to a network of photographers will increase all the above-mentioned factors, reach a larger public, and spread the word quicker, which will grow the business faster. With this whole process also comes immense opportunity for the chance to spread the Good news of Jesus Christ. My goal is for us to photograph and change the world at the same time.

GOAL:
Our goal is to be the ultimate source for diverse, professional photographic needs in the Portland Metro area, with exceptional service and excellent workmanship, while maintaining appealing yet competitive pricing.

MISSION SATEMENT:
Our mission is to use our photographic skills for service in a professional manner, while recognizing and utilizing ministering opportunities.

VISION:
Shoot the image and save the soul!

C.P.N. usually meets once a month at one of the member’s home. We discuss techniques, latest technology, upcoming events, well as schooling opportunities, emerging clients and the past month’s events. We encourage one another, offer ideas on improvement, utilize loving constructive criticism and pray for any special needs one might have. This is also a time to bring and show work you have done, get help on forms and documentation and edify one another as a body that is growing upwards and onwards. We will continue to strive for consistency in our work, attitude and appearance, as well as an across the board openness with each other. I firmly believe this promotes trust, honesty and a cohesiveness that is needed for any organization to succeed. Please feel free to offer any comments or ideas at any time that will contribute to the overall success of C.P.N. I hope that this letter has peaked your curiosity and intrigued your interest in being a part of the Christian Photographers Network.
Let’s spread the Good News by shooting through God’s eyes.
